Program Licensures
Some academic programs at Great Basin College (GBC) lead to professional licensure or certification. Licensure requirements are set by individual states and may vary depending on where you live or plan to work. GBC is required to provide accurate licensure-related information to out-of-state students so you can make informed decisions about your education and career goals.
Programs That May Lead to Professional Licensure
How GBC Determines Your Location
To provide the most accurate licensure information:
-
GBC uses the most recent address information provided by each student
-
Students are responsible for keeping their address current
-
Address updates should be made as soon as changes occur
Your physical location may affect whether a program meets licensure requirements in your state.
General Licensure Disclosure
-
All GBC programs meet licensure requirements in the state of Nevada
-
Other states may have additional or different requirements
-
While GBC strives to provide accurate information, the College may not be able to determine licensure eligibility in every U.S. state or territory
Students are strongly encouraged to review licensure requirements directly with the appropriate state licensing board.
Ongoing Updates and Student Support
Licensure information is updated as needed. Current and prospective students will be provided with information specific to their location as quickly and accurately as possible.
For program-specific licensure questions, students should contact:
- Their academic advisor, or
- The department chair for their program of study
