Outstanding Classified Staff

Outstanding Classified Staff have been recognized by their peers for their valuable contributions to their positions at Great Basin College.

First, classified staff members submit nominations that include a brief summary of the reason for the nomination. Next, the nominations are compiled and sent to all GBC Classified employees statewide for a vote. The nominated employee with the most votes wins the honored title of Outstanding Classified Staff. In the event of a tie, the honor is shared.

Katelynn was selected by her peers in recognition of her outstanding dedication, professionalism, and commitment to Great Basin College. Her positive attitude, consistent support for students and colleagues, and willingness to go above and beyond exemplify the very best of our GBC community.

Madison Price, Admissions/Records Assistant IV, Elko Campus

"I would like to nominate Madison Price for Outstanding Classified. Madison works her heart out for GBC. Most people understand her significant commitment to making GBC graduation ceremonies around the state successful. Many GBC employees may not know she also gracefully and diligently tackles dual enrollment registration. Over the past year, she still worked diligently to develop an online dual credit registration form. She continues to work with counselors throughout our service area to get their input on the new registration procedures and frequently meets with them and high school students to help with enrollment. The counselors in Elko and Spring Creek frequently state how accessible she is to their questions and concerns, and this is exactly what GBC needs to build relationships with our high school partners. Madison is an energetic, important, GBC all-star!"
